Government Museum :
This is Chennai's best museum located at the Pantheon complex, which is actually several British build building. There are different sections inside the museum. The archeological section displays articles of major historical South Indian periods. The natural history and zoology section has skeletons, stuffed birds and animals from all around the world. The Bronze gallery has some amazing collection of items from the Chola art. Further there are National Art Gallery, Modern Art Gallery and Children's Museum that you can visit with the same entry ticket.

Vivekanandar Illam :
This house of Vivekananda is not only famous for the displays of the world famous monk but also for the architecture of the building. The semicircular seafront which was once used to store huge ice blocks transported from North America was famous as ice house now gives an amazing view of the sea. After his return from America Swami Vivekananda spend quite a long period here and preached his philosophy. Now it has a meditation room, photographs and other memorabilia of Swami Vivekananda.

Temples in Chennai and Cathedral :
