Location of Shimla :

Shimla Tourist Attractions :
Shimla has always been a favorite place to go away from the heat of the North India. Once known as Shyamala, after the Scottish civil officer built his summer home here in Shimla in 1822 the entire place changed and in 1864 Shimla became the official summer capital of the colonial government. Due to this rapid and positive development took place here and in 1903 when Kalka-Shimla railway line was constructed it became a foremost tourist attraction during summers in North India. The heat of the plain forced people to find recluse here in Shimla and since then every year thousands and thousand people rush to this wonderful place. Vice Regal Lodge and Botanical Garden :
