Snooty Ooty as named by the colonial rulers, Ooty was established by the British somewhere around early 19th century as Summer Headquarters for the Madras government. It is kind of a mixture of Southern England and Australia with single storey stone cottages, bijoufenced flower gardens, leafy winding lanes and Eucalyptus stands touching the sky. St. Stephens Church :

Botanical Garden :
