India is known for its cultural and traditional festivals. With different religions, languages, cultures and castes, celebrations are lined up each month in the country. Holi and Diwali are the two most popular festivals of India. Holi is the festival of colors where people use water guns and balloons for coloring in the open street, parks and buildings. Diwali a festival of lights and happiness is celebrated in the memory of Lord Rama. Before Diwali, Dussehara is celebrated. According to various religious belief, Durga Puja, Ganesh Chaturthi, Janmastami, Christmas, Eid, Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra, Vasant Panchami, Ram Navami, Makar Sakranti, Pongal, Lohri etc., are also other fairs and festivals of India. It's a country of year round celebrations.
